02 · About Glitra
GLITRA makes one object at a time. We started with a side table because it is a small thing that you use every day, and because a small thing done well is harder than it looks.
The table is made from one 3mm sheet of 6061-T6 aluminum, bent into a continuous form and finished by hand. No fasteners, no hidden structure, no veneer. The surface is the material. It is designer by a small studio in Reykjavík, Studioek.
Glitra is Icelandic. It means to shimmer.

LOOP is made from one 3mm sheet of 6061-T6 aluminum, bent into a continuous form and finished by hand. Height is 500mm, sized to sit beside a low sofa or armchair. The first edition is released in natural brushed aluminum.

A confirmation email with your edition number arrives within 48 hours of reserving. The balance invoice is sent in August 2026, before fabrication is complete. If LOOP does not ship by December 2026, the deposit is refunded in full. Each piece ships individually, tracked and insured, from Poznań, Poland.

GLITRA Fermo was designed in Reykjavík by Edvard Dagur Edvardsson and Jón Reyr, and fabricated by Studioek in Reykjavík, Iceland. Each piece is stamped with its edition number on the underside.
Edvard is a product designer whose earlier work includes Apple and Icelandair. Jón is an industrial designer whose earlier work includes Fuseproject in San Francisco and Össur in Reykjavík. GLITRA is their first object together.
